Olympic Weightlifting

The sport of weightlifting consists of two lifts: the snatch and the clean & jerk. In the snatch, the weightlifter lifts the barbell from the floor to overhead in a single movement. In the clean & jerk, the weightlifter lifts the barbell first from the floor to the shoulders (the clean) and then from the shoulders to overhead (the jerk). In a competition, each weightlifter has three attempts in the snatch and three attempts in the clean & jerk. The weight of the best of each lifts is added to create the weightlifter’s total, and the best total wins.

Powerlifting

Powerlifting is a pure strength sport. Powerlifters perform three competitive lifts: the squat, the bench press, and the deadlift. A lifter receives three attempts for each event. Only the heaviest successful attempt is counted. At the end of the competition, the lifter’s best lift from each event is added together to make up the lifter’s total.

Cycling Specific Strength Training

The best cyclists in the world have discovered that strength is a major component of developing power and leg speed. We’ve proven that learning to use triple extension in order to aggressively apply power is a huge benefit when it comes time to put the power to the crank. Our programming has delivered massive gains in strength, speed and improvement of our cyclists’ performance on the track, the course and the road.

For those that want to train like a DBC Black & Gold Athlete but don’t live close enough to train with us. You can sign up via Train Heroic to follow our programs online. We have four tracks: Team Black & Gold Men, Team Black & Gold Women, Olympic Weightlifting Supplement for CrossFit, and Pedal Power. We also offer Remote Coaching.

They believe in a holistic lifestyle to help restore veterans lives post active duty. [TRP] provides access to tools that aid in veterans ability to integrate socially, emotionally, physically and spiritually back into civilian life.
